BIC 4C | A PEN FOR EVERY SIDE OF YOU

BIC 4Colours, a pen for every side of you.

The Berry teamed up with BIC to celebrate their iconic BIC 4 Colours pen range, bringing new life to three standout designs… Pastel, Hydrodrip and Shine. The campaign unfolded in two parts: a full CGI fever dream of a film that reimagined the pens in a wild, surreal 3D world, and a social-driven series of influencer videos featuring Instagram star and cosplay artist Alyson Tabbitha.

Together, the work fused BIC’s playful spirit with The Berry’s high-energy visual world, creating a spectacular, vibrant campaign built to light up Gen Z’s feeds.

A cinematic journey through the world of BIC 4C…

For the CGI film, The Berry set out to create a piece that exploded with colour, energy and imagination. The result is a vibrant journey through three distinct worlds inspired by the Pastel, Hydrodrip and Shine pen designs.

From a dreamy pastel landscape ruled by a proud BIC peacock, to a paint-splashed Hydrodrip realm bursting with texture and movement, and finally beyond the stratosphere with a metallic BIC rocket crewed by BIC boy astronauts. The 4Colours pen appears throughout as a cleverly integrated world device, tying each scene together in a seamless, surreal ride through the BIC universe.

Turning ink into imagination…

To connect with a fresh, creative audience, The Berry collaborated with world-renowned cosplay artist Alyson Tabbitha on a series of social-first films. With over 1.2 million followers, Alyson brought an existing community of passionate fans into the BIC world. Taking inspiration from the Pastel, Hydrodrip and Shine pen designs, she set out to create her own interpretations of each.

The films captured her full creative process, from sketching costume ideas with BIC’s 4 Colours pen, making the most of its full spectrum, to developing the looks that would later come to life on screen. The result was a blend of artistry, authenticity and product storytelling designed to bring BIC’s personality into new creative spaces.

Using a variety of visual effects techniques, The Berry brought Alyson’s creations to life in vivid detail, amplifying each transformation and immersing viewers in her imaginative worlds. She became a pastel fairy-tale pixie casting colour magic, a Hydrodrip artist painting the world with liquid colour, and a metallic red dragon-slaying warrior surrounded by fire and ruins.

Each transformation mirrored the personality of each pen’s design, turning Alyson’s ideas into vivid, tangible worlds of colour.

The BIC 4C Design Range…

With hundreds of designs in the full BIC 4 Colours range, this campaign set out to spotlight three standout collections, each inspiring its own distinct creative world.

Pastel brought a soft, whimsical and magical energy.

Hydrodrip exploded with vibrant, artistic expression.

Shine stood out as bold, dramatic and epic in scale.

Together, they showcased the depth and diversity of the BIC 4 Colours universe, celebrating creativity in all its forms.

Behind the CGI magic…

For The Berry, this project was all about pushing creative and technical boundaries. The team set out to make a film that wasn’t just fantastical, but also a true showcase of their full CGI and VFX capabilities. From character animation and world building to water simulation, fire and pyro FX, and grooming furry creatures, every discipline was tested to its limits. The kind of work that would make most post studios break a sweat.

On set with Alyson…

The Berry team travelled to Orlando to film with Alyson Tabbitha in her hometown, choosing a large house location that offered the perfect backdrop for all three films. Each room became a unique set, tailored to match the worlds of Pastel, Hydrodrip and Shine.

The crew worked closely with Alyson to balance the VFX and filmmaking goals of the campaign while giving her the freedom to be her most authentic self for her audience. It was the ideal collaboration, where her artistry and character work met The Berry’s cinematic craft.

Making the costume…

Alongside all the spectacular visual effects, the real star of the show is the incredible costume design. Alyson Tabbitha takes her fans behind the scenes as she creates her very own BIC 4C Shine–inspired metallic red dragon armour cosplay outfit, building it entirely from scratch. She shares the full process, showing how she drew inspiration from the pens and transformed that vision into an epic, imaginative, and fully wearable piece of art.
